Oil on canvas, 11" x 14", 2008

Third try on Miriam's weeping cherry . . .

  1. This one is the most integrated. I really like the greenish gold in the background shot through with blue blobs. The tree itself appears as a motion, which is its essence, if I'm stil allowed to use that word. Do some things resist being painted?

  2. If you're not still allowed to use the word essence, then things are worse than I thought.

Do some things resist being painted? It sure can seem that way. But one must not give into such notions!

    (Blue blobs -- heehee.)
