The madonna is nice but I really like the way she inhabits the chair. You did a wonderful job of showing the grain and the shininess of the wood (esp. in the seat) without getting into too much detail. The shadow/reflection of the statue in the seat looks like its going to swallow little Mary up.
I like this one a lot. It is really something very empowering about this image. I also like the painterly application in all of the work here. Mary overcomes all!
