  3. I like the distortion of space where the floor is moving forward, and flattening out with the tabletop, and the wall is also folding out flatter than it's extreme angle would actually be. I like this, in the sense that space actually distorts in perception, but the brain sorts it out and forms a more sensible conception than your eye sees. So it's a way for painting to be truthful in a way a photograph is not. I love the plane of the tabletop.. it's undeniable. I do feel though that the butterfly shape blocks what would be a really enjoyable movement, created by the fur thing leading you over the back of the chair into the space behind the table.. it would have more air that way- more movement in a painting that's cramping the frame in a good tense way. But I think it needs that movement into the space behind it freed up a little? Just a thought.
