From the new studio at The Navy Yard. If I sit right against the wall, and look obliquely out the window, I can see this. Oil on canvas, 12" x 12"

  1. that was how you described getting the view of Lady Liberty from the Red Hook studio, I seem to recall. have you have a thing for real estate with oblique views of famous bits of skylines? (This is great!!)

  2. PS, the format/size-- perfect for a record sleeve!! But what record?? (offer it to the record companies for a happy sum!!)

  3. Eldi, hi. Close. It was the view under the Manhattan Bridge that I had to look obliquely to see in my old studio in DUMBO. The Red Hook ones of the Statue of Liberty I did outside on a pier. But the view is actually much more open in the new place -- it's just to actually see across and up the river to this view I do have to sit all smashed against the wall, almost in the corner, so no room to back up and see the painting. Could do worse, tho.

Yeah, 12 x 12. But no more records, alas . . . tho, I guess cds are square too.

  4. Yeah, sure, that's what I meant-- you still say album cover for cd's, rather than record cover (showing my age there!)

PS, when you are selling those Mary paintings, you've got a buyer!
